I've been raised in a community, a belief, a teaching, a family where spirits are not talked about. Who and what they are, their power, my power and where they fit in the world of Christianity is a total mystery to me. But the last few years i have been faced with various situations where i am privileged to learn more about them. I see so many of the closest people i know have so much knowledge of spirits, the Devil yet it is rarely talked about between us. I have yearning to know more about it, about my control in these situations where they are present and what it all means.
Why is it that we don't talk about it. That in the Lutheran Church it seems to be pushed aside yet i see it as such an important area. Why is it that some have so much more knowledge and skill then others. Where do they get it from? How do i get my hands on this knowledge? Is it taught from a book or from God himself? Is it made for everyone to know or just some?
I ask all these questions because i want to know the control i have over them and how to handle them if i am faced with them in my very own house.... In a place/home that is/seems so safe to me is in fact filled with 'bad stuff' according to someone else with this 'knowledge of spirits'. For some reason this offends me and i want to know why. I want to know if they are here, where, why and what to do about it. This is my home, the place i know by the back of my hand so why am i unaware of its holdings yet a stranger is??
